Highway 407 toll-road helps provide proof that U.S. Ambassador is misleading Canadians on fascistic NAFTA superhighway agenda

The Highway 407 toll-road, helps provide proof that U.S. Ambassador to Canada, David H. Wilkins, is misleading Canadians on the construction of a North American Free Trade (NAFTA) Superhighway, to enable the creation of a fascistic North American Union.

On 8 December 2004, the Canoe Network that is associated with the Sun Newspaper Chain, in Christina Blizzard’s article “Hwy 407: Que Pasa?”, reported that Cintra, witch is part of a Spanish Consortium, owns the 407 toll-road. It had been a public mystery, why would a company all the way from Spain, spend the time to own and construct a toll-road. Even more of a mystery to me, had been, why would government in Canada award a foreign Spanish bid over a Canadian company?

The Coalition to Block the North American Union revealed that the same Cintra company is behind the Trans-Texas Toll-Road Corridor.

Maps accredited to the North American Forum on Integration (NAFI), which is a non-profit organization based in Montreal, clearly reveals an apparent intention to link Cintra’s Trans-Texas Corridor to the Hwy 407 Toll-Road, which clearly appears to be being built toward Ottawa, within a vast integrated continental toll network.

The 407 Toll-Road in turn was being planned since the late 1980′s, and supports the assertion by the Coalition against the North American Union, that the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), was a part of the agendas of both former Prime Ministers Mulroney and the U.S. President at that time, even before its formal signing in 2005.

The Trans-Texas Corridor is being designed to provide U.S. and certain Canadian Big Business interests, with easier access to the importing of the outsourced manufacturing of goods, from a further exploited Mexican labour pool, as well from a further exploited Chinese labour pool. U.S. and certain Canadian corporations which have also been exploiting Chinese labour, have been planning a NAFTA superhighway linked with enhanced port connections, to further increase the ability of Big Business interests to make exploitative commercial profit.

U.S. Ambassador to Canada, David H. Wilkins wrote in the Ottawa Citizen on Monday, August 20, that “while conspiracy theories abound, you can take it to the bank that no one involved in these discussions is interested in, or has ever proposed a “North American Union”, a “North American super highway,” or a “North American currency”. The first thing to appreciate is that owners of CanWest Global that owns the Ottawa Citizen have been principal financial donors to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party of Canada. Mr. Harper who is a principal ally of the Bush administration, is also a signatory of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP). Therefore, CanWest Global’s provision of editorial space to Mr. Wilkins can be seen as an attempt to manipulate the masses through political propaganda.

Secondly, there is ample proof that a NAFTA superhighway is currently being constructed. The NAFTA superhighway is being constructed and developed to facilitate the Big Business agenda that indeed seeks to create an anti-democratic “North American Union”. The curiosity of the Hwy 407 toll-road under Spanish corporate ownership is apparent proof of in Canada, of such a SPP-North American Union (NAU) transportation network, that is to be linked with an American toll-road network, with the same ownership.

The “NAFTA superhighway”, is to become a series of very wide toll-roads to stretch all the way into Canada’s north, to rape and pillage Canada’s environmental heritage for elite interests connected to a U.S. political-military-industrial complex. NAFTA superhighway is to facilitate the planned consolidation of Canada as an American colony under the clandestine SPP-NAU agenda.

It was former U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower who warned the American people upon his retirement from Office that the political-military-industrial complex constitutes a singular threat to democracy.

Dr. Ron Paul is among the critics of the NAFTA superhighway. The U.S. Ambassador to Canada does not seem to be demonstrating candour on the on-going construction of the NAFTA superhighway.

“This superhighway would connect Mexico, the United States, and Canada, cutting a wide swath through the middle of Texas and up through Kansas City. Offshoots, would connect the main artery to the west coast, Florida, and northeast. Proponents envision a ten-lane colossus the width of several football fields, with freight and rail lines, fibre-optic cable lines, and oil and natural gas pipelines running alongside,” says Ron Paul, who represents Texas in the U.S. Congress.

The NAFTA superhighway map and agenda appears to have been generated by leaked documents associated with SPP related proceedings, which various groups have sought to disseminate.

Democrats think they’re striking out at the rich, they’re actually jeopardizing the retirement portfolios of millions of middle-income Americans. Firemen, police officers, and teachers, to name a few, are all represented by the big state and city pension funds.

The latest assault comes courtesy of House Democrat Sander Levin. Late last week, he introduced a bill that essentially would abolish the 15 percent capital-gains tax preference for risk investing, and raise it by 20 percentage points to the 35 percent corporate and personal rate. This goes beyond an earlier tax attack on a public offering by the Blackstone Group, and would slam into all private partnerships, including buyout funds, hedge funds, venture-capital firms, real estate partnerships, and oil-and-gas deals.

Incidentally, while attacking capital gains, the congressional Democrats are killing initiatives for across-the-board cuts on wasteful appropriation bills. According to the Club for Growth, House Democrats defeated separate measures that would cut spending by 4 percent, 1 percent, and 0.5 percent.

Does this mean the Democrats favor tax hikes over real spending control? It appears so.

Washington economist Kevin Hassett says this is part of the Democrats’ “war against winners,” and he’s right on the money. In particular, these willy-nilly changes of the tax rules would have a chilling effect on capital formation, and could constitute the biggest attack on capital since the 1930s.

As mentioned, the lightning rod in this tax-hike endeavor was the Blackstone Group, the private-equity giant that went public last week. Blackstone’s investment-fund profits are taxed at the 15 percent cap-gains rate, and since these profits come from high-risk investments, that’s how it should be. But Democrats in Congress view these profits as plain income, and greedily want a higher take.

But plain ol’ income this is not. The recent crack up of two Bear Stearns sub-prime-mortgage hedge funds shows just how risky these ventures can be.

Yes, there’s big money to be made when these private partnerships click. But the economy at large also is a beneficiary. Private buyout funds often save highly troubled companies from bankruptcy. They insert skilled managers who streamline operations and make businesses more efficient, a process that can ultimately lead to greater profits and business expansion. You know a lot of these companies: Chrysler, Staples, Sears, Domino’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Toys“R”Us, Clear Channel Communications, Hospital Corporation of America. All of these firms were brought back from the dead thanks to private partnerships.

Nobody knows for sure whether Congress will green-light the Democrats’ anti-growth agenda. The hope is that President Bush will veto any tax hike that lands on his desk. But the mere threat that Congress would embark on such a program of wealth destruction and economic impoverishment — all in the name of taxing “rich people” — has investors reeling.

Ironically, a lot of today’s anti-cap-gains momentum is the handiwork of former Clinton Treasury secretary Robert Rubin. He actually believes a low cap-gains tax has no economic growth impact at all. However, back when Clinton and Rubin were running things, the personal income-tax rate was lifted from 31 to 40 percent, while the cap-gains tax was reduced from 28 to 20 percent, making for a 20 percentage point tax advantage for cap-gains over regular income. Flashing forward, the current Bush administration lowered the income-tax rate to 35 percent and the cap-gains rate to 15 percent, preserving that 20 percent differential.

Hmm . . . Is Rubin saying the cap-gains tax advantage was good for the Clinton boom, but not the Bush boom?

Truth is, that differential provides a strong incentive for entrepreneurial risk taking and higher-risk, cutting-edge investment — both of which lend real torque to the economy.

Another unfortunate irony is that while Democrats think they’re striking out at the rich, they’re actually jeopardizing the retirement portfolios of millions of middle-income Americans. Firemen, police officers, and teachers, to name a few, are all represented by the big state and city pension funds. And these funds are heavily invested in the hedge and private-equity funds that the Democratic tax machine is targeting. Is this fact lost on the Democrats? And don’t they realize that two out of every three voters in recent elections owned stocks — either directly or indirectly? Are they attempting to commit political suicide?

If the Democrats get their way, job creation will be adversely affected, too. Clearly, you can’t create new jobs in the private sector unless there’s a new or expanding business to create those jobs. And since new and expanding businesses require capital for investment funding, if you tax that capital more, you get less investment and fewer jobs.

In short, you can’t have capitalism without capital. The process works for “rich people” and the middle class.

Whenever Democrats wage war against the rich, the middle class becomes the collateral damage. This may be the law of unintended consequences, but it is something this Congress fails to understand.

What is it with athiests and non-Christians…?

First of all, allow me to articulate my concern:

I am what many would consider to be atheist. I do not nor cannot have faith in any religion on this troubled planet. I do not believe man was made from clay nor do I believe the earth is only 6000 years old. I do believe there are vastly superior intellects within our universe that would appear god-like from our perspective. As big as the universe is (and it is bigger than anyone can possibly imagine). Yet I believe most of the religions of this world possess a great wisdom for how we as humans should live our lives, respecting one another despite our differences, and provide a good moral guideline to all to follow, regardless of your personal belief system. In general, I have great respect for those faiths and the people who practice in them, even though I may disagree with many of the perceptions of our world they may have. I harbor absolutely no amount of animosity or disdain for religious people. What troubles me is the large volume of atheists who make it their business to be insulting to those of faith and oftentimes display sheer animosity towards them. I see many examples of this behavior not only on the internet but with personal encounters as well. Here is just one example among many that elaborate on my point:

Why do so many atheists display such arrogance, cruelty, and downright hatred to those of faith? I am, by definition, an athiest but I never felt compelled to be condescending to others of faith. If you are athiest and have these compulsions, what exactly is your problem? I truly do not understand.

Friend With Change In Mental Status, What Could It Be?

I have a friend who has had an apparent change in mental status, and I’m not sure what it is or how to help her. As I am a nurse, as well as her friend, its in my nature to want to do all that I can for her.
“Sally” (not her real name) is a 45 year old, very well educated lesbian (I only mention her sexuality because some of her behaviors are related to it, and I’m not one to switch “she” to “he” just to be more socially acceptable). She has 2 Masters Degrees in Education and Business Administration. I’m not sure of the exact job that she once held, but she was making very good money, and owned a very large home in an upper class neighborhood. She had a lifetime companion, and seemed to be very happy. I looked up to her, I wished I could be as successful as she was.
About 3 years ago, Sally abruptly quit her job and left her girlfriend. She said she needed a break, that the job was too much responsibility, and her girlfriend was becoming irritating. I thought nothing of it, with Sally’s intelligence and personality, I was sure she’d get a new job and a new girlfriend soon.
Within the last 3 years, Sally hasn’t returned to a job that uses all of her intelligence and her 2 Masters Degrees, instead, she works part time at a Dollar Store. She sold her house, and moved in with her father, in a tiny apartment in a very rough neighborhood. Sally has stopped taking care of herself physically, once a beautiful and clean woman, she now rarely bathes, her hair is never combed, and her clothes make her appear homeless. She’s begun stalking another woman (“Susan”), who she is determined to have a relationship with, though that woman is in a happy, monogamous relationship. Sally is literally stalking Susan, she follows her everywhere, she sits outside of her workplace, she follows her to bars and restaurants. Sally was never a drinker or a smoker, but she’s recently taken up smoking cigarettes, and she drinks to excess 3 or 4 days a week. And this isn’t the worst of it. Sally has recently taken up making random barking and growling noises, and she carries on conversations with herself.
Obviously there has been some sort of mental breakdown, but I’m not sure of how to help her. With everything that she has going on in her life, I’m afraid to approach her directly. She was always the most approachable, gentle woman I’d ever known, and now I “walk on eggshells” whenever I see her, I’m afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing, I don’t know what she’s now capable of.
What could be wrong? How can I help my friend?
